The great Irish Atlantic links route

Lahinch, Doonbeg, Ballybunion and Tralee - connected without rushing past the good parts.

Most first Ireland trips try to play the whole west coast. The better idea is to let Clare and Kerry breathe, and to enjoy what happens between the courses.

Begin at Shannon and follow the coast through Lahinch and Doonbeg before taking the ferry south towards Ballybunion and Tralee.

Those four links make an extraordinary spine. How much golf surrounds them depends entirely on your group.

Leave some space in the plan. Something will come up, and it's usually the best part.
